For several years, Hartwig Burfeind has been teaching Dressage riders in the Millbrook, New York and Stockton, New Jersey areas. The clinics have received an overwhelmingly positive response and have been consistently sold out months in advance. The same steady group of riders assembles month after month to work through training issues and seek his help. What accounts for this success, I think, is Hartwig’s teaching style and manner with his students. He is able to assess, rather quickly, where the student and horse are in the process of training and works adeptly with each individual pair. He is able to communicate clearly and respectfully to riders of all levels.

The results are immediately visible. According to Dressage professional Katja Eilers, her test scores, and those of her students, have increased between 5 and 10 percent since riding in these monthly clinics allowing them their most successful competition season to date. Most notable, however, is the atmosphere at the clinics. The riders are mutually supportive and up-beat.
Hartwig’s positive attitude sets a welcoming tone for all.
